Lathem Barbree
I’m Lathem Barbree, a freelance videographer and content creator who focuses on capturing the energy of live sports. I shoot and edit game recaps and highlight reels for local high school teams, and my work also reaches into short films and documentaries. Some of my films have been official festival selections, and I’m currently developing new projects as a First-Year Scholar at Kennesaw State University. I spend most of my time behind the camera, always trying to get better at what I do and tell stories that stick with people.

I am currently studying Organizational and Professional Communications and am interested in working with people and media in my career, whether that's Advertising, Public Relations, or some form of Journalism. I am proud to be a part of the First-Year Scholars Program community, work alongside other students who share similar goals and ambitions, and empower those who are underrepresented through this project, “Capturing Stories and Sharing Voices.
Isabelle Loyd
A sophomore at KSU, I’m majoring in Linguistics, minoring in Japanese, and am interested in translation and linguistic research. I’m also intrigued by linguistic applications in the film industry, such as dialect recreation and fictional language development. After being a part of the 3rd Kennesaw Film Festival’s success last year, I look forward to watching the festival continue to grow and bring wacky, clever, enlightening, and ingenuitive films to the big screen.
